BKM is a helical hypoid gearbox series that offsets the output shaft at 90° using a hypoid gear set. Compared with a standard bevel gearbox, the hypoid mesh delivers a higher single-stage ratio, quieter running and higher torque in the same envelope. Six frame sizes 050 to 130 cover 0.2–7.5 kW and up to 1500 Nm output torque. Installation dimensions are fully compatible with the RV series worm gear reducers, so a BKM unit can drop into an existing RV mount as a direct replacement without re-machining the machine plate.
Each frame is defined by its centre distance, which scales torque capacity. Frame 050 to 090 use die-cast aluminium housings that resist rust and shed heat quickly. Frame 110 and 130 use cast iron housings for higher rigidity on heavy or shock-loaded axes. Every housing is machined on a vertical machining centre in a single setup to keep the bearing bore, hypoid gear seat and output shaft seat concentric.
BKM gearboxes are offered in two transmission configurations. The two-stage version covers fast output for general axes. The three-stage version covers slow high-torque output for heavy loads. Both share the same housing and mounting dimensions.

BKM and the RV series worm gear reducers share the same mounting bolt pattern and output shaft position. This means an existing RV mount can accept a BKM unit without redesigning the machine frame, and a machine originally specified with RV can later be upgraded to BKM without changing the plate, the shaft or the coupling.
Same bolt pattern, same output shaft height, same keyway position. Swapping one for the other is a bolt-on operation rather than a re-engineering job.
