YS series is the entry tier of the Raydafon three-phase asynchronous motor family. It uses low-noise bearings and a compact cast frame to keep the drive quiet and smooth, which suits light-duty industrial machines that do not need IE2 or IE3 efficiency. The motor is designed for direct-on-line starting on a 380V / 50Hz supply, and it can be fitted with B3 foot, B14 small flange, B34 small flange + foot, B5 large flange or B35 large flange + foot mounting. Rated power range is 0.06 kW to 2.2 kW across three synchronous speeds, and the maximum rated torque reaches about 11.4 Nm at 6-pole. Typical uses include food packaging machinery, chemical equipment, woodworking machines, light cranes, metal rolling machine auxiliary axes and industrial fans.
YS series is offered in three synchronous speed classes. Each class covers a different power range so the motor can be matched to the driven machine without oversizing the frame.
Six frames cover the full YS range. Smaller frames use a compact cast frame for light-load auxiliary axes, and the larger frame 90 handles the top of the YS power range.
YS supports five IEC mounting configurations. The correct configuration is selected by the driven machine layout, not by the motor itself. Full dimensional drawings for each configuration are listed below.
Standard horizontal foot-mounted configuration. The motor sits on a flat machine plate and is bolted through four foot holes. This is the most common configuration for pumps, fans, conveyors and general light-duty industrial drives.
