Voltage Options — 220 V vs 380 V

220 V Line
  • Rated current: 10.5 – 32 A
  • Suitable for regions on 220 V three-phase mains
  • Preferred for retrofits where a transformer is already in place
  • Standard for smaller 180 frame ratings
380 V Line
  • Rated current: 6.5 – 20 A
  • Lower current per kW, smaller cable and breaker
  • Standard for European and most Asian mains
  • Preferred above 5.5 kW to reduce copper losses

Buyer Questions

What is the difference between the 180 Series and the 150 Series?

The 180 Series covers 2.7–7.5 kW with rated torque 17–48 Nm; the 150 Series tops out at 5.5 kW and 27 Nm. Both share the same 2500 PPR encoder, IP65 rating and Class F insulation. Choose the 180 Series when the axis needs more than 27 Nm continuous torque, more than 5.5 kW shaft power, or 380 V dual-voltage input.

Is 220 V or 380 V the right choice for my application?

380 V is recommended above 5.5 kW, or wherever the local mains supply is 380 V. At the same power, 380 V draws about 40% of the current of a 220 V build, which means smaller cables, smaller breakers and less heat in the cabinet. Below 5.5 kW, 220 V is usually simpler and lower cost.

What driver works with a 180 Series motor?

Any three-phase AC servo drive rated for the selected line voltage and 32 A continuous phase current. The 180 Series uses a 2500 PPR photoelectric encoder in A/B/Z differential form plus U/V/W commutation signals — the standard interface on most industrial servo drives. Wiring diagrams are supplied with every shipment.

Can I get a longer shaft or a custom flange?

Yes, both are available on production orders. Shaft length, keyway, flange bolt pattern and connector type can be machined to drawing. Send your drawing or target equipment model and a dimensioned quote comes back within the same working day.

How is motor quality verified before shipping?

Every motor is tested on the bench for back-EMF waveform, three-phase resistance balance, insulation resistance at 500 V DC, no-load current, no-load speed and vibration. The measurement sheet is printed with the motor serial number and travels in the crate. Motors that fail any parameter are reworked or scrapped, never shipped.

What is the warranty and certification?

18 months from shipment against manufacturing defects, backed by an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system. CE and RoHS declarations are available on request. Our process is documented on the Quality Assurance page.

Send your model, voltage and quantity. A dimensioned quote comes back the same working day.
