150 Series AC Servo Motor — 3.0 to 5.5 kW Servo Drive Motors
A 150 Series AC servo motor is a three-phase permanent magnet synchronous servo motor built on a 150 mm frame with a 2500 PPR photoelectric encoder and IP65 sealing. Five stock ratings cover 3.0 kW to 5.5 kW at 2000–2500 rpm, with rated torque from 15 Nm to 27 Nm and peak torque up to 54 Nm. Every motor ships with a serialized test sheet covering back-EMF, phase resistance, insulation and no-load current.

Buyer Questions
Q1
What is the difference between the 150 Series and the 130 Series servo motor?
The 150 Series covers higher power — 3.0 to 5.5 kW — while the 130 Series tops out around 2.3 kW. Both share the same encoder type, IP65 rating and Class F insulation. Choose 150 Series when the axis needs more than 15 N·m continuous torque or more than 3 kW shaft power at 2000 rpm.
Q2
What driver works with a 150 Series motor?
Any three-phase AC servo drive rated for 220 V line input and 24 A continuous phase current. The motor uses a 2500 PPR photoelectric encoder output in A/B/Z differential form plus U/V/W commutation signals — the standard interface used by most industrial servo drives. Wiring diagrams are supplied with each shipment.
Q3
Can I get a longer shaft or a custom flange?
Yes, both are available on production orders. Shaft length, keyway size, flange bolt pattern and connector type can all be machined to drawing. A dimensioned quote is returned within the same working day when you send your drawing or target equipment model.
Q4
How is motor quality verified before shipping?
Every motor is tested on the bench for back-EMF waveform, three-phase resistance balance, insulation resistance at 500 V DC, no-load current, no-load speed and vibration. The measurement sheet is printed with the motor serial number and travels in the crate. Motors that fail any parameter are reworked or scrapped, never shipped.
Q5
What is the warranty and certification?
18 months from shipment against manufacturing defects, backed by an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system. The longer warranty reflects the serialized test record attached to every unit and a field failure rate below 0.3% over the past three years. CE and RoHS declarations are available on request. Our process is documented on the Quality Assurance page.
Q6
What is the price range for a 150 Series servo motor?
List pricing typically ranges from USD 280 to USD 850 per unit depending on power rating and options. Price on request — factory-direct pricing applies on bulk orders above 20 units. Brake (Z1 or Z2), custom shaft and cable assemblies are quoted per drawing. Send the model, quantity and delivery port, and a formal quotation is returned the same working day.
Q7
How does a 150 Series servo motor compare to a stepper motor?
A 150 Series servo motor runs closed-loop with a 2500 PPR encoder, while a stepper motor runs open-loop with no position feedback. For axes that must hold position under varying load, resume after a fault without re-homing, or reach 5.5 kW at 2000 rpm continuously, servo is the correct choice. Steppers are lower cost for light-duty indexing where torque requirements never vary.
